Nordpark - the most urban Snow Park in Austria

For all those living in Innsbruck the Nordpark is one of the best things ever happened there. The Nordpark can be accessed without having to use the car or any other means of transportation (apart from a ski lift :-) ) as you can get into the lift right in Innsbruck and after only 20 minutes you can draw first lines into the snow. Don't let the trail map disappoint you. The Nordpark might seem rather boring at first glance because it certainly features only few trails and lift facilities but the Nitro Pro Park certainly makes up for the lack of terrain! A chairlift takes you up and around the park. Which features every thing a boarder heart desires. And the And Innsbruck certainly makes a nice background scenery while grinding and jumping.
Despite its rather small size the ski resort offers more than what meets the eye at first glance. There are several ungroomed trails of different ability levels which caters especially to the freeriders among boarders. A highlight is without doubt the "Hafelkarrinne" with a negative decline of 70% and can be considered among the most difficult trails in the alps
And once the sun sets go check out Innsbruck and the various possibilities to spend a great evening out in the bars. The Nordpark is definitely worth a visit, especially for those who prefer terrain parks to slopes.
