The best boarding resorts in France

For non French speakers it takes a while to find out where the best French snowboarding resorts are located. Known beyond French boarders is certainly the Snowboard Opening in Val Thorens which takes place annually in December. The terrain park is one of the best equipped in France with everything from halfpipes, various rails, big airs, jumps up to boarder cross and waves. However Val Thorens is certainly not the only ski resort which caters so excellently to boarders in France with excellent outback possibilities and terrain park.
Tignes - Val d'Isere can certainly keep up with Val Thorens especially where the freeride terrain is concered. Boarders can basically enter deep snow terrain everywhere as long as they mind the avalanche warning system. The possibilities are infinite! And if you tag along with the locals they will certainly take you to spots that require some hiking but are certainly more than worth the effort to get there! That Val Thorens and Tignes are not the only two ski resorts which are boarder friendly need not be mentioned.
